Emma’s newest range for Ella Blue is called Eureka and is inspired by the Victorian Goldfields and all things mining. Emma grew up in an area where there were abandoned gold mines and caves and spent her childhood playing and having fun. The range features geometrics representing quartz crystals and a fabulous print with gold highlights showing the veins of riches! There is a fabulous mine shaft map print and a stripe which is inspired by the cores showing the different colours in the earth. A wagon wheel is a great circle contrast and of course Emma had to include a Southern Cross Star print which was a symbol of the Eureka rebellion. The range features navy, chartreuse, apricot, turquoise and grey and will inspire you to create!

Since we’re just getting to know each other, I’m going to stick with a few facts.

I started out life planning to be an architect but I’m the first to admit that my math skills aren’t great. That didn’t stop me from starting a small company where I designed and built furniture – with the help of a few close friends.

I’m still building things but now I’m also a Graphic, Pattern and Surface Designer at Moda Fabrics. I’m a Mom to two kids and two dogs, a wife, a crafter of everything and anything, a quilter and a Navy veteran.

And I am the Urban Chiks. Chik. That’s right, there’s just one.
