Stabilizer Holder



Come join us to make an organizer for all the stabilizers in your collection. This fun stabilizer holder makes it easy to organize and find the perfect stabilizer for your embroidery projects.

Before class, please fuse the backing fabric with fusible fleece and fuse each of your five sleeve strips with Shape Flex (SF 101). The class includes a fabric and stabilizer kit from A Quilter’s Corner. The kit includes an acrylic holder and rope for hanging.

Bring to class:

  1. Embroidery/sewing machine, power cords and foot pedal.
  2. Standard sewing foot for straight stitching
  3. Embroidery foot
  4. Screwdriver for switching out embroidery and sewing foot
  5. A 5”x7” embroidery hoop and placement templates if used by machine
  6. Tear away or wash away stabilizer for 5” x 7” embroidery hoop
  7. Chalk marker
  8. Tape measure
  9. 12” or larger straight edge ruler
  10. Contrasting embroidery thread
  11. Contrasting top stitching thread
  12. Bobbins wound with top stitching thread
  13. Bobbins for embroidery
  14. OESD embroidery tape or Floriani Perfection Tape
  15. Scissors/snips
  16. Rotary cutter/straight edge ruler for trimming
  17. Spare needles for sewing machine

Instructor: Jill Perry
Instructor Bio: Jill Perry has worked at A Quilter's Corner since the store's opening in August 2016. Jill began her teaching career as a serger instructor in Boulder CO and taught for over 12 years. Those classes included learning your serger, computerized sewing machines, quilting, sewing tools, clothing construction, and swimwear. Jill made most of her children's clothing and continued with costume design for ballet recitals, Halloween and CosPlay costumes, and lots of outdoor camping projects. Jill has degrees in business management, graphic design, web design, and information and learning technologies. Obviously, Jill is a techie and loves learning, sharing what she knows with others, and learning something new from our customers. Jill loves incorporating computer technology with sewing and quilting and looks forward to teaching more classes in digital embroidery, machine quilting design, and computerized longarm quilting with the HandiQuilter ProStitcher.
