Taking a clue from my Illusions BOM that was featured in 2021/22, I wanted my new BOM for 2024-25 to also have a modern take on the traditional sampler quilt. So, I played with the row-by-row sampler concept and put the rows on the diagonal, instead of the traditional horizonal rows. Additional movement was created by using a curved log cabin block and having the geese flying in opposite directions. Don't panic though, as these are mock flying geese that are super simple to make and only give the illusion of flying geese. The name was inspired by all the farm fields surrounding where I live in Nebraska and the furrows created during planting and harvesting.
