Let's Talk Batiks!
Come join us for a morning of everything batiks, from start to finish, design concepts and color through the whole process of creating these one of a kind works of art! Even if you're not sure you love the art of batik making, join us to learn a bit of behind the scenes form Karen Gibbs, the Design Director for Expressions, Riley Blake Designs Batik Division. Karen is an award-winning textile designer, with a passion for the batik making process. She has been all around the quilting industry, as an author, a longarmer, a cotton designer, a national instructor but found her niche in batiks. Because batiks are handmade, just like our quilt making processes, they marry so beautifully with our industry.
This is a lecture class, no machines needed.
