Instructor: Jackie Vujcich
1 session 4 hours
Required Pattern: Fun and Done by Jackie Vujcich of Colorado Creations Quilting
Fabric:
Main focus - 1/4 yard (I suggest a busy print with lots of color - floral or holiday themes work well - NO directional fabrics)
Coordinating fabrics - 1/4 yard each of 2 different fabrics (less busy, tonals read as a solid - work well)
Setting triangles - 1/4 yard
Binding - 1/4 yard
Backing and Batting - 20" x 40" of each
Notions:
Sewing machine in good working order (don't forget foot controller and plug)
Seam ripper, machine needles, pins
Needle with a large eye or self-threading needle
Thread - color to match backing of the quilt (please have bobbin wound before class)
Rotary cutter (a personal cutting mat is optional), additional blades?
Ruler 6" x 24" (if you have a 6" or 6 1/2" square you may want to bring that also)
Pen
Pre-class "homework": Baste your batting and backing together with your favorite method (I would suggest either basting spray or needle and thread - stay away from safety pins). Wind your bobbin with thread to match the backing fabric. If you have time, you can cut the following:
Fabric cutting:
Main Focus fabric - cut one 7 1/2" strip by WOF; sub-cut one 7 1/2" square; cut six 3 1/2" squares
Coordinating Fabric A - cut three 2" strips
Coordinating Fabric B - Cut three 2" strips
