REQUIRED PATTERN: Fall Harvest by Colorado Creations Quilting
FABRICS:
Cream (used in center and edges) - 1/3 yard
3 coordinating fall colors - 1/8 yard of EACH color
1 coordinating fall color - 1/4 year
Leaves: 3 different colors 4" x 10" scraps or larger
Pumpkin oranges/rusts - 4 different colors 6" x 6" scraps or larger
Stem (brown or green) - 2" x 2" scrap
Backing - 1/2 yard
Batting and backing - 28" x 53"
Binding (optional) - 1/3 yard (I prefer not to bind this quilt but use the "pillowcase binding method"
NOTIONS:
Fusible Wed (I prefer light - Wonder Under by Pellon 805) - 1/2 yard
Sewing machine (don't forget the foot controller and plug) - must be capable of sewing an accurate 1/4" seam
Thread - color to match your applique pieces
Seam ripper, machine needles, pins
Rotary cutter (a personal cutting mat is optional), additional blades?
Ruler 6" x 24" works well
Small sharp scissors
Applique Pressing sheet
Pre-class "homework" instructions:
Please cut the following before class and bring all remaining fabric to class
From the cream (center and ends) cut: one 10 1/2" square; twenty 3" squares
From the four coordinating fabrics cut: eight 3" squares from EACH fabric.
