This class will meet for 3 hours to learn the basics of free standing lace (FSL), and complete some beautiful multicolor designs- anything from ornaments to bookmarks to owls! FSL is easy to do, once you understand the steps required. If you have a Brother or Babylock machine, with larger hoops, you'll also learn how to do multiples at a time and how to sort, so you don't have to change thread as often. I'll also provide a list of sites that have some great FSL!
Purchase Prior to class:
1. Free standing Lace Designs, loaded onto your embroidery machine - I recommend any of "Designs by Juju" FSL designs, plan on making ones that are multiple colors.

2. Your choice of threads. Floriani works great for FSL! Matching bobbins to thread.
3. Top Stitching Needles
4. Water Soluble Stabilizer (WSS), 2 layers for each hooping.
Bring sewing tools, rotary cutter or WSS, and a working embroidery machine ( including hoop/s, manual, power cord and foot pedal) to class.
