Mariners Compass
We will learn a fun and easy way to construct a Mariners Compass using the Fat Robin Ruler. You will need to purchase the book and ruler available at A Quilters Corner. This is an intermediate class level. To construct an 18" Mariners Compass you will need a straight ruler with a 60 degree marking, 2 - 4.5" background pieces, 2 - 3" pieces for the first point, 1 - 4" piece for the second point, 1 - 5.5" piece for the third point of the compass. After you construct your compass there will be ideas given in class to finish your compass. Bring a sewing machine, seam ripper, scissors, etc. Irons and cutting mats are given in class.
