Electric Quilt Software DEMO
Electric Quilt 8 (EQ8) software allows you to design and color your own quilts from thousands of blocks within the program or to design your own block. The program replaces your pen and paper and helps you build a quilt to your exact size with your fabrics. This program allows you to play with many different layouts before you purchase your fabrics. The number of designs you can create is endless. The program will calculate your yardage and help you with your cutting with templates, rotary cutting, or foundation piecing. This is the ideal program if you would like to create your own quilt patterns to sell or share with friends.

This Demo will go over some of the basic things you can do with the software. Help answer questions as you decide if this software is something you want to purchase. If you have recently purchased the software, bring your computer and step through the basic steps of completing a quilt and a block. If you own EQ8, join us the third Saturday of the month for a new technique each month.

| Instructor Bio: | Jill Perry has worked at A Quilter's Corner since the store's opening in August 2016. Jill began her teaching career as a serger instructor in Boulder CO and taught for over 12 years. Those classes included learning your serger, computerized sewing machines, quilting, sewing tools, clothing construction, and swimwear. Jill made most of her children's clothing and continued with costume design for ballet recitals, Halloween and CosPlay costumes, and lots of outdoor camping projects. Jill has degrees in business management, graphic design, web design, and information and learning technologies. Obviously, Jill is a techie and loves learning, sharing what she knows with others, and learning something new from our customers. Jill loves incorporating computer technology with sewing and quilting and looks forward to teaching more classes in digital embroidery, machine quilting design, and computerized longarm quilting with the HandiQuilter ProStitcher. |
